A problem faced daily by drivers around the globe: a lack of suitable and functional storage space inside their car. Introducing the Volvo XC40 , European Car of The Year 2018.
The Volvo XC40 mixes bold looks with stylish interiors, comfortable materials with ingenious storage, class-leading safety and cutting-edge technology. It does exactly what a small SUV should, it delivers an excellent drive every time.
XC60, like all good Scandinavian design, projects understated confidence, with an exterior defined by uncluttered lines and dynamic proportions. Large wheels and pronounced wheel arches clearly express its athleticism, while integrated roof rails and tough side mouldings highlight its capable SUV character.
Park Assist Pilot is a self-parking function that can steer the XC40 into a parallel space just 1.2 times the car’s length, or into a standard parking bay. All you need to do is operate the accelerator and brakes (when the car advises you to).
The Volvo XC40 acts as your co-pilot, always looking out for you. A number of systems and functions help you stay on the road and avoid accidents. It even detects if someone is about to run into you. After all, the best crash protection is not to crash.
Optional air suspension makes the XC60 even more capable, by keeping the ride height constant and giving you a smoother, more controlled ride over bumps and through corners. The suspension’s responses are adjusted constantly on the move, according to its drive mode and speed. In Comfort or Eco drive mode, the body is lowered 10–20mm at higher speeds to use less fuel. In Dynamic mode the body is lowered by 20mm, for even sportier handling.
The 360° Camera uses images from several cameras to create a view of the car as seen from above. You can clearly see where your car is in relation to other objects around the car.
With Apple CarPlay and Android Auto you get smartphone functionality in the centre touch screen. Your favourite apps become easily available and you can connect with Apple Siri or Google Assistant.
