Volvo Unveils All New Electric EX60
Volvo Cars has unveiled the all electric EX60, a five seat family focused electric SUV designed to eliminate range anxiety while setting new standards for charging speed safety and user experience.
The EX60 marks Volvo Cars first entry into the world’s largest electric vehicle segment and is expected to significantly expand the company’s addressable market and global electric vehicle market share.
Described as a new beginning for the brand the EX60 combines long range capability advanced software and innovative manufacturing techniques while targeting a more accessible price point for mainstream buyers.
“The new all electric EX60 changes the game in terms of range charging and price,” said Håkan Samuelsson CEO of Volvo Cars. “With this car we remove all remaining obstacles for going electric. It demonstrates what Volvo Cars is capable of with an all new product architecture and key technologies such as mega casting cell to body construction and core computing.”
Class Leading Range and Ultra Fast Charging
The Volvo EX60 delivers a class leading range of up to 810 kilometres under WLTP testing in its all wheel drive P12 configuration. This makes it the longest range electric Volvo ever produced and places it ahead of recently revealed competitors in the same segment.
Charging performance is equally impressive. When connected to a 400kW fast charger the EX60 can add up to 340 kilometres of range in just ten minutes making long distance electric driving significantly more convenient.
Volvo says the close integration of design engineering hardware and software ensures the EX60 delivers electric performance without compromise matching the usability of many petrol powered vehicles.
Powertrain Options and Battery Warranty
The EX60 will be available with three electric powertrain options:
• The P12 all wheel drive electric delivers up to 810 kilometres of range
• The P10 all wheel drive electric delivers up to 660 kilometres of range
• The P6 rear wheel drive electric delivers up to 620 kilometres of range
In total the EX60 will be offered in seven variants designed to suit a wide range of needs and lifestyles. All versions come with a ten year battery warranty
Scandinavian Design With Purpose
The EX60 carries Volvo’s Scandinavian design philosophy into the electric era with a confident exterior and a calm premium interior focused on comfort space and versatility.
A low front profile sloping roofline and tapered body sides contribute to strong aerodynamic performance resulting in a drag coefficient of 0.26 which directly supports the vehicle’s long range capability.

Advanced Audio and Intelligent Technology
For music lovers the EX60 features a premium 28 speaker Bowers and Wilkins sound system including headrest speakers in all four main seats. It is also the first Volvo vehicle to feature Apple Music pre installed with Dolby Atmos delivering an immersive spatial audio experience.
The EX60 is Volvo Cars most intelligent vehicle to date powered by the latest version of HuginCore. It supports advanced software development through a combination of in house engineering and partnerships with Google NVIDIA and Qualcomm Technologies.
The EX60 is also the first Volvo to launch with Gemini Google’s new AI assistant enabling natural personalised voice interaction without the need to remember specific commands.
Vehicle Safety
Safety remains central to the EX60 which represents the most advanced expression of the Volvo Cars Safety Standard. The vehicle constantly monitors its surroundings using a wide array of sensors enabling precise real time awareness.
A multi adaptive safety belt provides personalised protection for front seat occupants while a reinforced safety cage with boron steel and advanced restraint systems help maximise occupant protection.
